Communications
Creating a strategic telecommunications plan is crucial for future growth.  Technology is an ever-changing world.  Your communications plan must be flexible and utilize broad band services.  Every building owner must make critical decisions regarding direct fiber and fixed wireless activities.  Connectivity and productivity are the key points to any telecommunications plan.

In the past, buildings could have several different cabling systems for different communications systems, for example; block wiring for voice, coaxial for token ring, multi-pair for RS232 or ethernet, etc.  The ideal solution is to install a standard cable and connector type throughout a building which could, with additional equipment, be used to support all or most of the different type of systems in use.

Also, for true flexibility, it would be desirable to have this cabling installed and ready for use at all possible locations within a site.  This would allow a department to expand or to move to another part of the building with minimal disruption, and more importantly, minimal costs.  (The industry standard is to provide two connections for ever 3 square meters of office space.)  These attributes are the essential characteristics of a structured cabling system.
